略歴

早稲田大学大学院経営管理研究科（早稲田大学ビジネススクール）教授。
慶應義塾大学法学部法律学科卒業、スタンフォード大学大学院修士課程修了、
京都大学経営管理大学院博士後期課程修了（博士、経営科学）。
日本開発銀行（現・日本政策投資銀行）を経て、マッキンゼー・アンド・カンパニーに勤務。同社のパートナーとして、資源・エネルギー・素材業界を中心に、日本企業の全社変革、競争力あるビジネスモデル開発、組織的なケイパビリティ構築などを行う。
マッキンゼー在籍中から大学院で教鞭をとり、「早稲田大学ティーチングアワード」「京都大学経営管理大学院優秀教育賞」を受賞するなど、教育のクオリティにも定評がある。早稲田大学ビジネススクールのワイン部の顧問も務める。

Biography

Katsuhiro is a Professor in Strategy and Finance at Waseda University's Graduate School of Business and Finance (Waseda Business School; WBS).

He holds B.A. of Law from Keio University, M.Sc. from Stanford University, and Ph.D. from Kyoto University. 
He started his professional career at Development Bank of Japan, and then worked at McKinsey & Company, where he led the Global Energy and Material Industry group as a Partner, and supported major Japanese and overseas companies on company-wide transformation, competitive business model development, and institutional capability building. 
He has also been teaching at universities since his tenure at McKinsey, and has a reputation for the quality of education, winning Waseda University's Teaching Award and Kyoto University's Graduate School of Management Excellence in Teaching Award. He is a faculty advisor to WBS Wine Club.

He has written many books, including Corporate Value as a Practical Strategy (Diamond Publishing, published in June 2023).​
